Medal of Honor Decoration Ceremony

The Customs Administration honored a rank of renowned officers, on the occasion of the 58th Independence Day Celebration.
The most outstanding officers were distinguished in the presence of peers and families. The Minister of budget, the Congo's ambassador and all Customs’ authorities took part in the Decoration Ceremony.
While delivering his speech, the customs’ general Director announced the strengthening of the control system by using high-end technologies and advanced devices to ensure safety at borders.

Ziguinchor: Drug and illicit products incineration


On Wednesday 2, March, administrative institutions such as judicial and defense and security forces assisted on the incineration of about ton of Indian hemp and 700 grams of cocaine in the village of Tobor, in the presence of, noticed Senegal Press Agency (APS).
The governor precised:"We have just incinerated a ton of hemp valued at 10 million CFA francs and 700 grams of cocaine estimated at CFAF 60,000 per kilogram, or about 47 million CFA francs.”

On March 21st , 2018, the Ministry of Trade, Consumer Affairs, the Informal Sector and SMEs, organized a workshop sensitizing on the Senegal Trade Portal, within the context of WTO, Agreement on Trade Facilitation implementation in Senegal;

Seizure of Indian hemp and khat

Customs’ agents of Gouloumbo just seized a large amount of Indian hemp. In fact, the 78 kilograms of Indian hemp were shipped on a bus.
In total, 5 people were arrested according to the Customs General Directorate.
The same source reports that an important seizure of Indian hemp, had been done by agents of Keur Ayib Customs Office (Center Customs service).

This classification make customs worthy with 3 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals at the end of the UGB national championships. This created the strong determination that him dethrone Abo landing Diatta... what pushes Customs up to the category of - 81 kilograms. Unfortunately for the national team three members who had been defeated.

Customs reinforces the maritime surveillance: patrol boats refited

On Friday afternoon, November 17th 2017, Senegal Customs Administration patrol boats RPB 20, named "SANGOMAR" and "DJIFFERE", docked at the naval base "Amiral Faye GASSAMA" in Dakar after their refit in France.

On this occasion, with the presence of the representatives of the French Navy and the service provider, the Customs Administration, represented by the Technical Advisor, the Head of the Bureau of the Office of Equipment and Maintenance, the team of the Public Relations Office and Communication, has received the two stars.



GAINDE or the automatic management of customs information is a strategic platform of Senegalese customs, centered on the management of customs’ clearance. "GAINDE Integral" improves considerably the way of managing procedures. Thus people move from less paper topaperless or electronic processing,known as the dematerialization. This technological revolution in the customs’ Administration aims at great feats and better service for the public.


The ORBUS 2000 system is developed to make easier procedures of international trade by using electronic communication or exchanges. This allows interconnecting different stakeholders evolving in the international trade. The system is also based on technological infrastructure and a device of services.

The electronic payment of customs’ duties and assimilated taxes consists of giving to the economic operatorthe ability to pay the amount of customs’ duties from one’s work station, by charging an account opened in a commercial bank.
